Hi, my name is Renee and I am addicted to art supplies.
Something about experimenting with new-to-me media, supports, methods is just so fun and freeing from my interior perfectionist.
Recently I purchased a set of Caran d'Ache Neocolor II watersoluble wax crayons from my local Curry's Art Store and have played with them a couple of times. I've used them on watercolour papers but my plan is to use them on Ampersand Claybord. I love the ultra smooth surface, the scrubbability, sgraffito potential, the way it drinks in liquid and the rigidity of this support. Yikes. It's making me hungry just talking about it!
Here's a little work in progress of my tabby cat, Levi, that I started in my art journal. Nice heavy paper, smooth finish.
I'll try to post an update when it's competed.
